ACM - publishes, distributes, and archives original
research and firsthand perspectives from the world's leading thinkers in
computing and information technologies. ACM offers over two dozen
publications, the majority of which are ranked top of their class
according to Thomson ISI Journal Citation Report. These Ejournals are
essential to any university library, faculty, research center, or
corporate entity specializing in the field of computer science and
engineering, information technology, or telecommunications. It
represents the latest research in computer science and engineering.
ACM has recently completed the ACM Digital Library. The
Library features electronic publication of ACM magazines, journals, and
proceedings, with a six-year online archive and a bibliographical
reference database going back to 1985 for most ACM publications.
ACM's Special Interest Groups (SIGs) in 34 distinct areas
of information technology address your varied interests - programming
languages, graphics, computer-human interaction, and mobile
communications, just to name a few. Each SIG organizes itself
around those specific activities that best serve both its practitioner-
and research-based constituencies. Many SIGs sponsor conferences and
workshops and offer members reduced rates for registration and
proceedings. SIGs also produce newsletters and other
publications, or support lively e-mail forums for information
exchange.
